Ready-Mix Concrete

As shown above, ready-mix concrete requires slightly different flowability for a large range of applications.  To further understand the workability of ready-mix concrete and gradation impacts, an investigation was conducted to develop workability tests for ready-mix concrete.  Those workabilty tests were used to evaluate the gradation of 200+ different mixtures to develop gradation specifications.   

Further Research using a Concrete Pump

At Oklahoma State University, we have a Putzmeister concrete pump that allows us to evaluate many different parameters to fresh concrete. We are currently beginning the research into proportioning of pumpable concretes. More information will be posted as the research progresses.
